The BC Retail Inner Circle
perfect day
inner BC crew
Golfing order:
Van
Lelana
Perry
Cathy
(order is symbolic)
Van was leading, fastly departing from us.
Lelana was quickly following via gameplay.
I was quickly following Van via schmoozing with others out there.
Cathy was... Cathy
Picnic bench, Lelana and Cheryl were chatting, I was on rear of picnic table.
Lelana commented that it was a surprise to see Malmborg's at the graduation.
(implying Cheryl and ??)
I asked who was all there.
Lelana replied "People" while looking away.
Several possible replies floated through my head as I lay realizing that I
was no longer asleep. I had been in bed for an hour and a half and wondered
if I had ever fallen asleep.
Faint but definate ripples cascaded clearly downward in front of my mental
eye, like the ripples in a crystal clear lake shore formed by a dropped
pebble but in a slower, more relaxed acid speed and I realized that a minor
flashback was oozing from the spine. At the point of flashback recognition
the ripples all sharply split into hundreds of small 'y's interlocked in
perfect thirty degree angles and faded away.
Events of the day:
Two evenings worth of reading about 'The Order of Skull and Bones' and the
'Illuminati'.
Carolyn's and Cheryl's discussion of Van's (rumored) outburst against Rakki.
Season long ponderings about Van's picking in of 'key people'.
A reflection of past rejection.
Golf?? The only golfing I'm associated with is Van and George and other key
people at the Rogers location. "That upper layer that I'm not yet part of."
I think that the disgruntled discussion between Cheryl and Carolyn bothered
me much greater than I realized consciously. Van is THE very best boss I've
ever worked for, and that ain't ass kissing, he has excellent people skills,
a good perception of the people working under him, has a great sense of
humor, and acts fairly, all qualities rarely seen in one package. Putting
it in perspective though, these ladies are part-timers, not really seeing
the inner workings of the store. Plus the day they worked did have a
shitty job task... sweeping out the dirt from under the plant tables.
That whole discussion conflicted with my views of the situation, triggering
the golf imagery which symbolizes Van and the inner circle, super-imposed
with us, the junior pickings, all mixed together with very intriquing
readings about "The Bonesmen", which always haunts my thoughts every time
I get into reading up on it. And there you have it.
